April 2011 - The Beginning

Our first date was on April 9, 2011. We met at Mason's Pub in Downtown Huntsville for drinks on the rooftop patio. That was pretty much it, we've been happy ever since. We'll spare everyone the cheesy details, but we are definitely a great match.

The week after our first date, Michael went to Panama City Beach with his buddies on a fishing trip. He brought home some tasty fish!  Check out some pics of his trip...

Michael has been so sweet to me from the start, he is quite the cook and such a romantic.  Here is a pic of a delicious meal Michael cooked for me...and also the precious Easter basket he surprised me with!

Later that month, Alabama suffered some of the worst tornadoes causing devastation all over North Alabama and Tuscaloosa.  I got to Michael's house just in time...check out the scary drive...

All of North Alabama was out of power (and thus work) for an entire week.  We spent that entire time together, driving around Middle Tennessee during the day exploring and playing...at night we would grill out at home and eat by candlelight.  To say we made the best of it is a total understatement.  Check out some of our delicious grilled food.

One day we drove to Lewisburg, TN just to eat at Shoney's.  We made an amazing discovery at that Shoney's...in October, Lewisburg hosts the annual "Music, Goats, and More" Festival (this festival is dedicated to the fainting goat).  We decided that come October, we had to go!  Doesn't get much better than that!  Another day, we went to the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, TN.  Check out our picture with Jack...

We had so much fun!  That day we actually showed up for the "Spring in the Hollow" Festival and got to see a lot of local crafters and toured the old Lynchburg Jail.

We also went to Franklin, TN one day at ate at a place called McDougals (pic below) and went to Bass Pro Shops in Nashville to look for survival supplies (remember, we still didn't have power).

So, even though North Alabama was completely devestated, we were very lucky and tried our best to make the best of the power outages and the cold showers.  We did take a few pics of the devastation and we know that people are still trying to rebuild their lives so we are definitely blessed.

It's blog, blog, blog...

Hello. We are Michael and Season. We have been dating for almost 6 months, and it has been lots of fun. We have been wanting to create a blog since pretty much the beginning of our relationship, but we couldn't come up with a creative title. We never did, but that isn't going to stop us. This is our blog.

So, to get caught up, we will post pictures and stories of the past 6 wonderful months. We've done some crazy fun stuff, so we are both pretty excited about the future!
